The formation meeting of the pithurevedi of Lourdes Forane church was held on 09/12/04 at 7pm in the yogasala. Vicar Rev. Dr. Mani Puthiyidam gave the in TRODUCTORY speech; Mr. Tomichan Meprath , president , pithruvedi, Changanacherry Arch Diocese offices the felicitation address. The following ad hoc office bearers were elected in that meeting.

After this 4 executive committee meetings were held on various dates .The pitruvedidi was officially in inaugurated on 20/ 3/ 05 by Rt Rev. Dr Joseph Perumthottam Auxiliary bishop of Arch Diocese Changnacherry.

Later two executive committee meeting were held and May 2005 was declared as the Fathers Month. It was decided to celebrate the Fathers Day on 29/05/ 05

Fathers DAY -2005
The Fathers Day was celebrated on 29/5/05 The meeting started by 6.15 pm after an hour of Adoration and Holy mass . The meeting begun with prayer Vicar. By Rev Dr. Mani Puthiyidam , Vicar and president . Joseph Mathew Thundiyil. Welcome speech was given by vice president

Prof. Dr Sebastian Aykara. It the message given by Rev. Dr. Mani Puthiyidam stressed the important note of the father in the family by giving love and affections to the members so that tension can be reduced. Father should accept the knowledge of the mother and children. The mother should be respected in the family. Father patiently hear the opinions of the mother and children and make decisions that could be acceptable to all the family members. This create self confidence among the one year.

Sri Georgekutty Augusthy, Pastoral council secretary, Kanjiappally Diocese gave keynote address. he stressed the importance of bringing up children in the family in the right way and to achieve the goat the father should give more importance and utmost care .During his long speech he explained this with many examples.

fter this there was panel discussions on economic problems of the family , fathers’ health, mental and social problems were discussed.

After the summing up of the meeting by Rev vicar. The meeting came to a close by 9.pm. From 9 pm –9.30pm there was dinner. About 200father were participated in the meeting.
