To celebrate mothers hood Lourdes Forane church sow the seeds of Mathrujyothis; organization the mothers by the mothers and for the mothers. It was started with the aim of renewing and bettering the world though he family and to create a new world order though the family .The church us to these mothers a second home. They regularly clean the church and its compound and see to that the alter is decorated with flowers. Every second Friday the mothers come together for the Holy mass . They also get a chance to listen to talks by eminent personalities. They again gathers as every fourth Saturday to evaluate their works.

The month of April is kept apart for Mothers. It is their month and mothers have got special prayer in the month. Mothers from the twenty nine wards are divided in to four regions and they gathered to together at the church on four different days on the basis of these regions. There were adoration of the Blessed sacrament the recitation of the Rosary on that day . The introductory message was delivered by the parish priest Rev. Father Mani Puthuyidam. The Holy Mass followed. April fourteen was celebrated as Mothers Day. On that day The family members gave gift to the mothers as a token of the love and gratitude. The church in the its turn made the Pastoral Center a stage for celebrating mothers Day. His Grace Mar Joseph Powathil the Arch Bishop of Changanacherry archdiocese gave a beauty full message to the very many mothers who had gathered there. In an atmosphere of sacramental ecstasy the Holy MASS was celebrating. A sumptuous feast and games followed. The seminar that was conducted was thought provoking.
